I’m a 42″ chest but 35-36″ waist but 5’6″ only. Is large the right size for me (I’m assuming medium is too small) – I should be able to wear a shirt and a thin cardigan/sweater beneath.
I would’ve liked black more but the navy seems pretty black to me in your video. Is it noticeably navy under sunlight?

Before Christmas, the Billy Reid Bond Peacoat was on back order . Instead I was able to find a similar Billy Reid Peacoat in black with the exact same cut. Ths one had copper buttons and was $100 more than-the Bond Coat. They have recently removed this coat from their website. Don’t know why. I feel black goes with more than navy. I suppose I paid $100 more for the distinctive buttons. My husband loves it.
Since you got a size M, if you don’t mind me asking, what is your build? I’m trying to decide between a size S or M.
Recently ordered a bond peacoat, I may have to wait until April to receive it, but it will worth the wait.

How extreme is the tapered cut? Will it suit a V-shaped torso?

I received my Billy Reid Peacoat a little over a week ago. The fit is amazing and it is shockingly warm. I’m from the midwest and have found that even in this cold spell we have had it is more than warm enough. Thanks for the review David!
I am a fan of James Bond clothing either it is formal or casual, i had already captured many of his looks, and desperate to get this unique coat. This Belly Ried attire has caught my all attention at first glance when Bond was in search of a bad guy in china. Lovely Outfit, by the way thanks for your post!!
In a previous post you stated that Billy Reid would be offering 150 peacoats that were the exact material and color as in sky fall. What was the exact color? Are the coats that are currently being sold by BR and others as the bond coat, the same as in the movie? Is the navy version really dark?
