As I drove home from the 3rd (or was it 4th?) viewing of SkyFall, I shifted my Jaguar into gear, pretending it was an Aston Martin DB5, and thought about the scene where Bond flips the lid on the gear shift exposing the ejector seat button.

It didn’t seem to me like it would be much of a project to make one for my car.

The more I thought of it, I realized how silly and utterly useless and impractical it would be.

I made up my mind. I had to have it!

I went home and bought a second gear shift knob from eBay to begin my project.…

Having been born in 1989, Pierce Brosnan was the Bond that i grew up with. He was my favorite 007, and remained so for at least a decade of my life. Whenever the name James Bond entered my head, his image was the one that would appear. From countless hours playing the Goldeneye game to seeing my first Bond film on the big screen in the form of Die Another Day. Then the long hiatus happened from 2002 to 2006 just as my Bond fandom was growing.

The trailer has been released for “The Other Fellow” – a documentary starring ten real James Bond’s.

Sydney based production house Mindboggler announced today the mid-2013 release of The Other Fellow, a feature documentary about ten real men named James Bond, filmed around the globe during the release of SkyFall.

The announcement followed the release of the film’s first official trailer, featuring the men showing and telling what it’s like to be James Bond and live in the shadow of 007. Over the weekend the trailer has gone viral on 007 fansites around the world. Comments from fans have ranged from “fascinating concept, I can’t wait for this movie!” to “this can’t be real, who would want to watch this?!”

The independent filmmakers found hundreds of real James Bond’s on Google, Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin before traveling the world to film the ten whose lives had been forever changed – for better or worse – due to sharing a name with the world’s most famous secret agent.…

On October 8, 2012, my girlfriend and I visited the Dezer Collection Car Museum, which is located in North Miami Beach.

We visited specifically to see what they call the “James Bond Experience”. It is a collection of at least one vehicle, usually an automobile, from each of the EON production films from Dr. No all the way through Quantum of Solace.

The Aston Martins from Goldfinger, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, The Living Daylights, Goldeneye, and Die Another Day are all here. Also here are the Lostus Esprits from The Spy Who Loved Me and For Your Eyes Only.…

Shortly after I had become a huge Bond Fan with “GoldenEye” in 1995, I was able to witness the location filming of 1997’s “Tomorrow Never Dies” in Hamburg. It was a big thing for me since I was only living an hour away from Hamburg at that time.

Skyfall and the fifty years of Bond may seem like the biggest Bond event this year, but the guests of Karen and Jason Murray’s wedding on 10th March will beg to differ.

The Setting: Mulberry House, Essex

The Guest List: Main characters from the chosen bond-themed tables: Goldfinger, Casino Royale, Diamonds are Forever, The Man with the Golden Gun and Moonraker.

Every Man’s Dream: To spend the day dressed as James Bond…oh and of course to marry the women of his dreams.

The Wedding Score: Everything from Shirley Bassy to Alicia Keys.

Cocktails: Vodka martinis (served during our Bond quiz.)

Of course, nine months have now passed and I am still married and back out in the field.…
