From time to time I will receive emails from the younger generation mentioning how Bond is starting to influence their lives in a positive fashion. It never ceases to amaze me how put together some of the younger generation are. Case in point is this letter from a James Holley, who in a few years will be giving me a run for my money in living the Bond lifestyle.

Hey David,
Before I start, I just want to say that I absolutely love the new website. While I am hardly a closeted Bond fan, I love the idea of sharing bond moments between other like-minded people. I have no idea how often you receive mail like this, but when I read that you read all your mail, I figured I should let you know.
I was named after Bond. Born in 1996, the rather dashing Brosnan had a profound impact on my mother while she was pregnant, so I guess you could say I was destined to be a Bond fan.
I am still waiting for my own Bond experience to happen. The closest I get is quoting Connery in DAF: “That’s a nice little nothing you’re almost wearing” which is rather applicable as a 16 year old attending parties in Sydney; although that being said I use every excuse to wear a suit out.
I guess for me, Bond was, and most likely will always be, something of a fantasy. However for a very long time I studied him, the way he talked, spoke, and the like.
I guess what you did which helped me out, is make a lot of that information more accessible, because put simply, people of my age have neither the resources nor the experience to identify things such as pieces of clothing and what not. I really, really enjoy the video podcasts you used to do for JB Lifestyle, and am just generally really grateful for all the things you have done to help me become somewhat more like my idol and namesake.
To that end, I can only hope that you keep up the amazing work and keep doing what you’ve shown you do best.
If you find the time, I’d love to hear back from you.
Many Regards,
James Holley
Wow! This sounds like something I would write, I was actually wanting to write something similar. The influence that David, Remmert and Joseph’s websites have on me in phenomenal. With David’s I get to share my life experiences as well as learn others. With Remmert’s I found out different items of clothing as well as sharing such a great community of fans alike on the forums. With Joseph’s, along with his book, teach you how to live like James Bond in every possible way.
I commend you all and thank you for everything you have provided for us. To come on the Internet and see regular updates on a passion we all share is great to see. The dedication, time and effort is all put in as well. You men all have jobs (I hope so, otherwise where does all that Bond stuff come from?) and families to tend to, yet you still help out in the Bond community by doing these great deeds for us. I could not thank you enough!
Tim from Melbourne 🙂
Yeah, I was amazed at the maturity of this fellow!
Ive gotta say the same acknowledgment goes out to David and Remmert , thanks for being so passionate and providing us so much information , success to you guys, and again Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
Many thanks…truly makes it worth it.
I have to jump on the bandwagon finally and say that I too am sharing the same thoughts as James here. I found your work through the JB Lifestyle site and followed your work over here to this site and I love it. I am 27 and have always strived for the whole “James Bond” life. It’s funny how it all started with finding out what was going on with the production and news of Skyfall and how it has “rollercoastered” to this point of seeing all of this great information and everyone sharing their experiences. It’s great to know I am not alone as a Bond fan like this. Keep up the great work!
