James Bond

By now you have hopefully viewed Part 1 of the Dezer Collection Museum Tour and like me was floored by the sheer massiveness of the collection.

I have to admit I was a bit skeptical when I first booked the videoing of this event as I didn’t expect much. Firstly, most car museums I have been to are cold, damp warehouses with the smell of oil and mildew that are as inviting as a World War bunker. I also was fully expecting the James Bond collection to be housed in a dark corner with a few sloppy posters.

I am delighted to say I was happily and most certainly surprised.…

You will notice we are doing product reviews again in the video section. I am a big believer that a purchase can be made or destroyed by more than just a bad product. The service and customer experience is paramount when it comes to luxury items and quite frankly if I am paying a premium, I fully expect an elevated level of service.

I am not saying everyone has to usher in a Tom Ford experience of single malts, champagne and round-the-clock service, but is it too much to ask for the basics? To me the basics are:

As promised, here are some in-progress shots of the New Zaritsky Archive. Each area will have an interactive and “experiential” moment. Those are being created as we speak.

The hardest part of embarking on a journey of fitness is the motivation that gets the body moving and the heart pumping. Once one finds the key motivation, the journey not only begins but continues along with consistency.

Some work out to look better to others or FOR others.

Some work out because of doctor’s orders.

Others, like me, work out to compete with themselves, to push themselves beyond their own perceived disciplines and limits.

That all being said, I have to admit that I will use James Bond as a motivator. Since I wear the Bond clothes, I figured I didn’t want to look like Orson Wells in them but rather closer to Daniel Craig.…

Over the next few weeks, we will be posting blogs and videos on how to get the Bond Body. I will outline and discuss my own journey and goals around fitness and prolonging the ravages of age. I work out 4 days a week BUT will be increasing this regiment and adding new core exercises.

Typically speaking, on workout days I get up at 4:30 AM in order to fit it into my hectic schedule. To me, it is therapeutic and worth the discipline it takes to rise at that time.

My new core exercises will be a mix of weekend moments at the gym AND nightly routines.…

Thought you might all enjoy a sneak peak picture. Remember, the concentration on lifestyle Bond goodies has indeed focused the collection but this is just the bones. I’m doing two movies at a time so it doesn’t get overwhelming but each area will have an interactive “Bond moment” around it.

Sights, smells, even tastes of the Bond movies for each movie…all will be revealed and understood soon.

After more than two months “on air” so to speak, I wanted to get a pulse check from all of you who patronize this site. Although our traffic has been nothing short of incredible, I still want to make sure that the site is meeting YOUR needs. After all, this site is about you and your James Bond experiences.

I am very excited to announce Matt Sherman has won the holiday photo contest and all the prizes! Everyone provided wonderful submissions but Matt’s Xmas tree of props and everything Bond captured the epitome of Bond Holiday goodness.

I would like to think of the Bond community as a tightly woven group bordering on a culture of different people all galvanized by one focus. Because of this, when one in our community is slighted or an offending event happens to them, we ALL tend to feel it.

One such event occurred just the other day when a well known Bond collector found the very rare Zara enjoying death shirt on eBay and negotiated with the seller a Buy it Now purchase. The Buy it Now occurred and he was delighted.

Delighted until the seller sent him an email stating he as going to not honor the Buy it Now sale and instead was going to re-list the item because he had found out from others how valuable the item was.…

As many of you have been privy to the re-focusing of my James Bond collection, I thought it might be interesting for you to also see the progress of the rebirth and rebuild of the collection and display.

I wanted to make sure that my display looked nothing like my previous one…after all I didn’t want it to look like a smaller version of what once was but rather a representation of what is! And what IS is a strong focus on the Bond lifestyle and experiences.

Thus, my fertile mind whirling, I decided to build the display as if a Bond store was created in my basement, complete with categories and departments of interest.…
