In 2012, Daniel Craig wore our Bond Coat as James Bond in the film Skyfall. The slim-fitting coat with horn buttons and leather collar detailing – so named for New York’s Bond Street, home to our SoHo store – was already a staple in many of our customers’ wardrobes. But with James Bond’s anointment, in a matter of speaking, came an all-new attention to the style. We’ve since remade the coat in different colors and fabrics, and it remains one our bestselling pieces to date.

The latest Bond film, Spectre, hits theaters this Friday, November 6. This time, it’s not 007 who sports a Billy Reid coat but Q, his young Quartermaster responsible for designing and developing Bond’s signature gadgets, weapons, and highly sophisticated computer security.…

By now you have hopefully viewed Part 1 of the Dezer Collection Museum Tour and like me was floored by the sheer massiveness of the collection.

I have to admit I was a bit skeptical when I first booked the videoing of this event as I didn’t expect much. Firstly, most car museums I have been to are cold, damp warehouses with the smell of oil and mildew that are as inviting as a World War bunker. I also was fully expecting the James Bond collection to be housed in a dark corner with a few sloppy posters.

I am delighted to say I was happily and most certainly surprised.…

You will notice we are doing product reviews again in the video section. I am a big believer that a purchase can be made or destroyed by more than just a bad product. The service and customer experience is paramount when it comes to luxury items and quite frankly if I am paying a premium, I fully expect an elevated level of service.

I am not saying everyone has to usher in a Tom Ford experience of single malts, champagne and round-the-clock service, but is it too much to ask for the basics? To me the basics are:

Thought you might all enjoy a sneak peak picture. Remember, the concentration on lifestyle Bond goodies has indeed focused the collection but this is just the bones. I’m doing two movies at a time so it doesn’t get overwhelming but each area will have an interactive “Bond moment” around it.

Sights, smells, even tastes of the Bond movies for each movie…all will be revealed and understood soon.

I would like to think of the Bond community as a tightly woven group bordering on a culture of different people all galvanized by one focus. Because of this, when one in our community is slighted or an offending event happens to them, we ALL tend to feel it.

One such event occurred just the other day when a well known Bond collector found the very rare Zara enjoying death shirt on eBay and negotiated with the seller a Buy it Now purchase. The Buy it Now occurred and he was delighted.

Delighted until the seller sent him an email stating he as going to not honor the Buy it Now sale and instead was going to re-list the item because he had found out from others how valuable the item was.…

As many of you have been privy to the re-focusing of my James Bond collection, I thought it might be interesting for you to also see the progress of the rebirth and rebuild of the collection and display.

I wanted to make sure that my display looked nothing like my previous one…after all I didn’t want it to look like a smaller version of what once was but rather a representation of what is! And what IS is a strong focus on the Bond lifestyle and experiences.

Thus, my fertile mind whirling, I decided to build the display as if a Bond store was created in my basement, complete with categories and departments of interest.…

As we rapidly approach the New Year, my annual thought process around resolutions starts to enter into my mind. Usually they center on fitness and dedication to the job at hand etc., but this year my mind has wandered into Bond territory. Now, I have to admit Bond does not seem like the type of fellow who makes New Year’s resolutions; quite the opposite he seems to be made to BREAK them.

For me, it was important to look back at 2012 and see what I could improve upon when it comes to Bond. First of all, there is the physical component of Bond in the form of my exercise regimen.…

I remember as a child watching an episode of the Flintstones where Fred buys Wilma a bowling ball for her birthday. I remember laughing at his excitement in purchasing it for her, and laughing even harder when she let him have it after receiving it.

Of course she didn’t like it, Fred! YOU like bowling, not Wilma. Wilma likes pearls and appliances made of talking elephants.

Of course, now I am old enough to appreciate these situations, I realize I myself have turned into Fred Flintstone; but instead of a bowling ball I use Bond girl accessories to become the butt of my own joke.…

As many of you know, I do a James Bond gift video every year whereby I highlight items for the Bond fan that has everything…except family that knows what to get them. These have been fun and a bit tongue in cheek but I have been amazed how many people truly do sit their loved ones in front of the video and press play in hopes that more than sugar plumbs will be dancing in their heads.

But this is a year of major Bond moments, like the 50th Anniversary and a small movie called SkyFall, so the abundance of Bond products is dizzying.…
